In conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day 2017, Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) [DSA] is celebrating this day on 18th March 2017 (Saturday) from 8.30am to 3.00pm at Dhoby Ghaut Green, 10, Penang Road. DSA is honoured to have Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Health, as our Guest-of-Honour for this event. In attendance will also be distinguished guests from various industries, corporate sponsors, supporters, volunteers, persons with Down syndrome and their families.
This year’s theme is “My Voice, My Community. Enabling people with Down syndrome to speak up, be heard and influence government policy and action, to be fully included in the community. In 2017, we will focus on enabling people with Down syndrome (and those who advocate for them) to speak up, be heard and influence government policy and action, to ensure that they can be included, on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society. This year’s event will also feature a buddy walk down Orchard Road as well as a mini carnival and performances by our persons with Down syndrome.
